Folkmoot has three big performances today: Asheville, Burnsville, Haywood Fairgrounds!

The world’s folk dancers here for Folkmoot 2015 will travel today to Burnsville for an afternoon show Burnsville Town Center, back to Asheville for an evening show at the Jewish Community Center and in-between a family-friendly, pay-by-the-carload show at 4 p.m. at the Haywood County Fairgrounds!

It’s another big day at Folkmoot!

The dancers had quite the time in Hendersonville/Flat Rock on Wednesday where Blue Ridge Community College played host to two big performances. You can see a video recap below.

Here is the upcoming Folkmoot schedule for the remaining days of the festival:

Thursday, July 23rd

2 pm – Burnsville Town Center

5 pm – Haywood County Fair Ground (Kids by the carload – $20 per car, no matter how full!): Cloggers, Puerto Rico, Philippines, Cherokee, Blackberry Jam, Ecuador, Dixie Darling

7 pm – Jewish Community Center, Asheville

Friday, July 24th

2 pm – Extravaganza Matinee – Stompin’ Ground, Maggie Valley

6:30 pm  – Main Street Waynesville Mountain Street Dance – special appearance! 

7:30 pm – Extravaganza – Stompin’ Ground, Maggie Valley


Saturday, July 25th

3 pm – Cherokee Fairgrounds

3 pm – Western Carolina University Bardo Theatre

7:30 pm – Haywood Community College

Sunday, July 26th

1:30 pm – Diana Wortham Theater

7 pm – Candlelight Closing, Lake Junaluska, Stuart Auditorium
