Eritrean Friendship Dinner, Saturday, November 5th

Tomorrow, Saturday, November 5th is Folkmoot’s November Friendship Dinner and features the country of Eritrea. Located above the eastern horn of Africa, this culturally rich country has  flavorful foods, danceable music and fascinating cultural history.

The Tecle family, visiting us from Charlotte will cook a delicious, traditional meal, the full experience only available if you travel to Eritrea or happen to have an Eritrean family. Our emcees for the evening are Michael and Metkel Tecle, sound engineers for the summer festival.

The menu will consist of three kinds of meats, vegetables and authentic Eritrean breads. Participants will enjoy homemade Eritrean coffee and tea and will learn a traditional dance taught by the Tecle family.

This Eritrean Friendship Dinner is tomorrow, Saturday, November 5, at the Folkmoot Center from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Tickets are still available by phone at 828-452-2997 or online at Folkmoot.org.
